Hail Vikings,

We start with Ragnar in the bathtub with Yidu. This scene is kind of funny because Yidu shows us perfectly that she is not a good slave. Ragnar is at that moment obsessed with the dead itself. Ragnar is torn between wanting to kill himself or everyone around him. Yidu tells him she is in the same place but you need to live the life worth living. A King and a slave must serve others whether they like it or not. It is true if the slave doesn't serve the master or the King doesn't give the raids or treat his people right they have almost the same place. Although a King has riches and the slave not. He can find himself in Yidu for various reasons. He grew up as a farmer and became King, in my opinion, Yidu is a princess or something and knows where Ragnar is talking about. They both have walked the same path both in a different direction. What I mean by this is Yidu was someone wealthy and became a slave in Paris after they had a boat trip. Ragnar however, was a farmer before he became King in season 2.  Yidu gives Ragnar medicine.)

We return to Wessex for the Christmas celebration where King Aella, King Eckbert, and Queen Kwindreth are together with friends and family. We see a furious King Aella about Magnus, and his own daughter Judith. Although King Aella sees the treason from Eathelwolf and Kwindreth he takes Judith to discuss his anger. Judith tells him that she is free and he can't stop her. King Aella announce that he will kill Ragnar for what he did in Northumbria.
When we return to Kattegat to celebrate Yule we see a lot of things happen. Yule* starts when the Arra Geola moon is there to grow full in late November or the first weeks of December.  Yule has to do with the wild hunt, and Odin associated with Yule, and the german Pagan Mōdraniht (Christmas eve now). We see the fire lighting by Ragnar this is Yule Log but the Yule Log is also the wood brought in the great hall in this episode. We see a crow in front of the parade is announcing the moon but I think it is a hint to Odin as well.

We also see Floki who went to the seer^. I still believe Floki = Loki. Recently I doubt that he could also be the next seer. There is always something mythic about Floki but I like the mysterious ways he believes in. What we now know is that Floki will be hundreds of years old because the seer told us. It has more Loki than seer but you never know with Floki.  In the new podcast by History Channel itself, they interviewed Gustaf Skarsgård who plays Floki. He can't tell but Floki could be anyone he could be Loki or a new seer. One thing we know is that he will get a difficult season ahead. He tells that people will die but if his Floki dies he kept in mystery just like his character Floki. We finally see the old Floki back. The interesting part is Aslaug wants Ivar to get educated by Floki in the old ways. Floki knows Aslaug could be an ally in the future.

Everyone saw Bjorn fighting with the berserker. I think Bjorn knows exactly who send him by presenting him the ring. When he is catching Torvi at Lagertha and Kalf, Erlendur is taking the child from Torvi. I don't know why but I have the feeling Lagertha knows exactly who is behind the attack as well.

Last but not least we have a very peaceful Christmas celebration in Paris. I do think they finally meet each other after the last episode. What is funny about this scene is that everyone can enjoy from the meal. There are some of them that will have mixed feelings when this scene happened. Most of all we see almost everyone smile.

The surprise of this episode we need to find in #King Finehair the stories spreading about Ragnar took him to Kattegat. Aslaug doesn't believe him. After he plays a game with the boys Hnefatafl.$  He tells her the truth about a princess he wants to marry. I was thinking about what I said earlier and I believe he wants to marry Yidu although it could be Aslaug as well. He wants to marry her when he is King of all Norway. At the same moment, we see that Bjorn made it in time to celebrate Yule with Torvi and Ragnar also comes to the great hall. You can see him thinking what is he doing in my chair. Ragnar isn't too friendly to Bjorn as well.

Hail Vikings,

In the last episode, we saw Floki in a cave his whole body is standing like a cross and he dressed like Jesus during his crucifixion. We see both similarities to the Cristian faith as well to the Pagan Gods. If Floki is Loki what I now suggest more than ever he is bound like Loki. The cave he is into has poisoned salt or something that hurt that is why Helga is holding the bowl above her power and above his head. Helga portrayed as Sigyn Loki´s loyal wife. In the Loki story, it is a snake who spill poison on  the skin of Loki just like what we see with Floki and Helga in a subtle way. We also see that if Helga tries to sleep the dripping starts again and Floki begins to scream. It is a different way with Loki. If Loki gets the poison on his skin he screams that loud that it said he makes the earthquakes. So Floki could sleep if Helga holds the bowl if Helga gets to sleep he wakes.  I found the scenes in this episode between Helga and Floki the most powerful scenes.*

Later in the episode, Helga gives Floki something to drink when Ragnar comes in. He asked her if she told Floki about Angrboda. She said no. Ragnar leaves. Floki asks Helga "what is wrong". We see Helga cry and tell Floki that Angrboda is dead "she got a fever there was nothing I could do."

If we go back to the killing of Athelstan (season 3 episode 6) by Floki we saw Floki transform to a dog because Rollo was in his way to get to Athelstan. That dog could refer to Fenrir or Gramr. Gramr is the foretold of Hell. If Floki was Gramr  that would mean that Athelstan is not come to heaven nor in Walhalla he is in Hell the mythology talks about Baldr's draumar. Or is this something we need to turn around was Floki in Hell with his mind so he needed to kill Athelstan for his own peace of mind.#

Lagertha and Kalf are a different subject today. While Kalf is trying to convince Lagertha that he wants to have a child with her because he loves her so much and she is too old. We need to recall back to the (first season episode 8) after the miscarriage of the unborn child by Ragnar and Lagertha in Uppsala they ask for a new child but there is also a part of a seer that tells Lagertha she won't have a child again. After this Kalf has a conspiracy with Erlendur against Lagertha by killing Bjorn because he is in the wilderness alone.

Meanwhile, Bjorn is seeking for an opportunity to kill a bear he set traps, later he finds the traps closed but no bear in it. After walking to all his traps he sees the bear find out he left his weapons at home. While he got drunk fell asleep and wakes up he comes eye to eye with a bear. He starts to fight the bear. The bear is stronger at that time, Bjorn screams at the same time Ragnar hears him yell and got a vision about when Bjorn was very young. Ragnar thinks he is dead  He kills the bear. The seer told a prophecy about a bear to Rollo. Bjorn is a reference to bear. Bjorn has a bearskin now does he become a berserker. Does Bjorn try to kill himself when he fights the bear because Porunn left him, or is it because of the expectations of Lagertha and Ragnar? We don't know, he wants to prove himself. Does Bjorn foresee the dead of Ragnar by killing the bear? We can't answer this at the moment.  Is Bjorn  the Belgerim (Bear Yeller or mountain Yeller). Belgerim is the only survivor of a deluge of blood from the wounds of Ymir, wounds when he killed by Odin. ~

At the feast of St. Eulalia we see that the Emperor tells the story about Eulalia and Gisla comparing the story to her story while she embarrasses Rollo. Rollo took advantage of that moment by walking over the table and scare people off to proof Gisla was right about it. The Emperor ask Oddo to get Rollo to stay. Rollo tells Oddo he wants to learn the language.

Season 4 premiere Vikings: Kill the Queen with SPOILERS

Hail Vikings,

At first, we see Bjorn struggling in the wilderness, for a long time he is only able to see snow after a while he finds a wooden uninhabited house.

Floki got escaped from his imprisonment in the middle of the centre of Kattegat. The first thing what came up to me was it is a game between him and Ragnar but when Ragnar gives the order to get him arrested again I knew right away it wasn't Ragnar who let Floki free. Helga did we later find out. We see Floki on the run and Ubbe who already leads an army to arrest Floki again.
Ubbe leads an Army and does get Floki arrested again. Ragnar is telling Floki he needs to suffer the way he is suffering. Although Ragnar is still hurt by Floki I had the feeling that if
Ubbe didn't arrest Floki he would be okay with it. He still isn't to pleased with the situation Floki has accomplished. The only fun he gets from it is that Ubbe arrested Floki and he is just a child.

In Wessex, we see also change they are training a big army to try to defeat Ragnar when he is coming back to Wessex. Eckbert gets his scouts heads back in a coffin. Eckbert and Aethelwolf tell a few people who Kwindrith and Magnus are in a tower captured. Eckbert wants Aethelwolf to free her from that place. His dad is against but Aethelwolf decides he is going. Eckbert orders him if Kwindreth couldn't be saved then he needs to take Magnus with him. While Aethelwolf is leaving he is bullying Judith because the last time he came back she gave birth to the child of Athelstan.

Ragnar goes up to Helga to find her and Angrboda both have nothing to eat and it is winter so Ragnar gives them food. The thing is what people are asking on Facebook in groups I have joined "Did Ragnar poisoned the food?" My answer to them is if Helga didn't eat it could be poisoned, but in my opinion, she did eat the food that brought to them. If Ragnar poisoned the food she was dead as well so then didn't Ragnar poisoned the food at all. The scene later when she is digging a grave for Angrboda I saw something happen between Ragnar and Helga. They both lost a child, they both suffered in the same way by the decisions Floki made.

Floki is bound in the cave. Not in the centre anymore. Floki needs to suffer. This looks like the bounding of Loki but there is a difference. Floki is standing, Loki is lying. Floki dressed like Jesus the only difference with Jesus is that he crucified. Both Loki and Jesus have suffered for their deeds like Floki suffers for what he did. They choose for the combination both Pagan and Christianity to punish Floki.

Is Judith going for a trap set by her father in law or is she the one who will set the trap and is going to pay a big reward for. Eckbert is selling her freedom for being a mistress. She lived her whole life in a golden cage she is a princess after all, I do understand she wants to get the status of free women. She wants to get an education in painting because she wants to learn how Athelstan did it.

http://recapguide.com/recap/18/Vikings/season-4/episode-2/

While saving Kwindreth Aethelwolf gets hurt in a bad way if he wants to take the key for the door to get to Kwindreth. The armies of both Wessex and the ones who are capturing Kwindreth are on the way while doing the free attempt. The two guards of Kwindreth are on a mission to kill Kwindreth. Magnus is in the same room under a blanket. When Aethelwolf finally kills the last guard the only thing Kwindreth is telling him: "what took you so long?"

Of to Paris where we get training by Rollo in having a water war. Rollo the pleaser to Gisla is somewhat funny but it is also a shame of Gisla to not fall for the charming try of Rollo. He wants to change for her when will she realise he is doing so much effort for her by cutting his hair and try to do his best just for her.

Oddo, however, is having a good conversation with Therese. What we see in the conversation is that Oddo is jealous of Rollo and he doesn't know that Therese has an agenda of her own. She is getting the information she needs for Roland. Oddo wants to become emperor someday and Roland wants Oddo's place. Power battle on the way I think.

Season 4 premiere Vikings: A good treason with SPOILERS

Hail Vikings,

Sunday was the première of Vikings season 4 in my country The Netherlands or Holland.
Although I read spoilers because I am an addict to spoilers and seen lots of promo's.
I love to make up my mind about the series and episodes.
The wait was finally over to see for me what happened in the years after the attack of Paris.

When I first saw a Chinese promo of the golden door I couldn't see if it was the door to heaven or to Walhalla I had the feeling it was about Walhalla but wasn't certain if it was so. When we see Ragnar on the horseback he sees the lights of the doors in the middle of the forest. We see that there is a Vikings celebration  because we see a drinking horn.We also see a wolf sitting next to the door. The doors are closing fast and Ragnar stays behind with no Walhalla.

While Ragnar is still not awake Bjorn is arresting Floki for the murder of Athelstan. He shows no interest what so ever in Siggy his own daughter. He wants to know why Porunn is gone. At the feast, Bjorn is high-tempered with Ragnar, Ragnar found that Bjorn is stupid by arresting Floki and leaving behind Rollo in Paris. Because Bjorn made that choice he torn apart about killing Floki. Ragnar already knew he wanted to judge Floki in a different way. But Bjorn arrested Floki so Ragnar must punish Floki for what he did. Bjorn also wants to prove to Ragnar that he is a grown up and want to go. Wilderness is what is calling him.

Aslaug, however, is at the seer trying to find out if she will be the next ruler of Kattegat. Further, in the episode, she needs to explain why Porunn is gone to Bjorn. Also, she is seeing the slaves brought from Paris where she finds Yidu. When at the feast the children are all about Ragnar, she is trying convinced her sons that their granddad Sigurd* is in the stories as well she get ignored. She isn't to pleased by Ragnar awakening when Ubbe tells her so.

As Floki punished by children, Helga tries to get the children away from Floki. In the version without the cutting scene we see Bjorn chasing the children away. The conversation is one way Floki asks Bjorn why he did what he did and don´t get answered. Floki also gets food from Helga and Angrboda. He loves the food he gets.

Lagertha and Kalf go back to Hedeby. Where Kalf Announce that he and Lagherta are going to rule together. Einar is against and with him his family. Kalf gets a voting who is against. Elendur and others are going to kill the people who are against it. Except for Einar he got castrated by Lagherta and dies.

Rollo has stayed in Paris. Against all odds, Rollo didn´t rape Gisla at the wedding night. Gisla is still hating him and would have thought of another wedding night she expected. We see a different Rollo in Paris. He gets a visitor from the camp where Eric tells him that people don´t trust Rollo now he married Gisla. Rollo goes to the camp and, kill them all.
